Bond University Medical Interview Training

The competitive Bond University medical interview is delivered in a multi mini interview (MMI) format. Successful students are expected to deliver well structured responses with sound medical ethics knowledge underpinning the scenarios commonly asked in this interview.

Relevant stations include:

  • General personality and experiences (eg why medicine, what does Bond Uni offer, your leadership experience)

  • Ethical dilemmas (eg how to address issues of academic honesty)

  • Dealing with legal conflict (eg a friend with drug taking behaviour)

  • Leadership problem solving (eg bulling in medical school)

  • Being a responder to a medical/physical danger environment (eg dealing with an unconscious person at a party)

  • Written statement about specific personality traits (eg why qualities do you have that would make you an excellent medical student)

  • Simulated actor station (eg responding to negative feedback from your supervisor)

The MedEssentials Bond University Medical School Interview Training Program will be delivered as a comprehensive teaching package, including:

  1. Small, live group 2 hour online, intensive tutorial Wednesday 21st February 7.00PM - 9.00PM AEST (Sydney/Melbourne Time)
    Aims: Presentation of past questions, demonstration of model answers, opportunity to discuss individual responses

  2. Recorded lecture series (>6 hours of intensive teaching) by Dr Brad Guo and Dr Ian Tan

  3. Detailed 32-page notes package of interview technique

  4. Additional support upon request leading up to the interview

1-1 private training available; however NOT recommended unless the group tutorial is completed first
